What to do if your Samsung TV doesn’t have sound
You need to reset your Samsung TV if it is not playing sound. Remove the power cord and wait 60 seconds. After waiting for 60 seconds, hold the power button for 30 seconds. Reconnect your TV after a minute. The TV will be soft reset and the sound will be restored!
Turn off Samsung TV by unplugging it
The easiest way to fix the problem is to unplug the Samsung TV from the wall socket. It is important to wait the full 60 seconds. You should wait for at least a minute before plugging it back in. The Samsung TV’s power button must be held for 30 seconds while unplugged. Check that you are holding the power button on your TV, and not your remote!
Plug in the Samsung TV’s power cord again
Plug this back in after leaving it unplugged for about 60 seconds. Make sure the connection is snug when you plug it back in. Your TV must have a tight connection – a loose connection will cause the TV to lose power. Use the power button on the TV, not the remote, to power on the TV with the power cord plugged back in. You should be able to hear the sound again once the TV comes back to life. Reconnect ALL connections to your TV while you’re back there reseating the power cord!
