According to the 2020 Corporate Recruiters Survey by the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC), the technology industry is the third largest employer of MBA graduates.

Around 83% of tech employers believe that MBA graduates will be successful in 2020.

Transferable skills from an MBA or tech

Some MBA concentrations are better suited for tech, like an information systems MBA. However, most MBA graduates have the necessary skills to pursue a career in tech. MBA students are provided with leadership training and data-driven technology expertise. They also have extensive knowledge of business operations.

Candidates may require a DBA degree or advanced technology degree in order to be qualified for certain positions and organizations, including those as high-ranking management consultants.
